談及這首極具象徵意義的作品，塵世間分享：「其實由構思出道曲的那時開始，已經有這種以自己名字為歌曲命名的想法。因為中文原本的字詞『塵世間』非常有深度和意象，所以一直覺得一定要有一個對等程度的故事和編曲才對。」他表示，直到創作首張華語專輯《GRIEF WHEEL》（輪迴之憂）時，終於找到最適合的創作方向。「就這樣，來到以探討暗黑情緒為主題的首張華語專輯《GRIEF WHEEL》（輪迴之憂），終於想到適合的題材和曲風，完美地完成了這件事。」
Speaking about the project, CHAN SAI GAAN revealed: "Ever since I was planning my debut, I'd always wanted to write a song named after myself. The Chinese words '塵世間' carry so much depth and imagery that I felt the story and the arrangement had to be equally meaningful before I could finally bring that idea to life." He added that the vision finally came together during the creation of his debut Mandarin album. "When I began building GRIEF WHEEL, an album centered around humanity's darker emotions, I finally found the perfect story and musical direction to complete this idea exactly the way I'd imagined."
