OBE MODE, the first English-language miniseries created by and starring CHAN SAI GAAN, will make its worldwide premiere on October 23, 2026. The 10-episode first chapter will debut exclusively on the CHAN SAI GAAN STUDIO’s official YouTube channel, with a new episode premiering every Friday at 6:00 p.m. Hong Kong Time.
由塵世間親自創作並領銜主演的首部英語微短劇《OBE MODE》（在地之靈），正式確定於2026年10月23日全球開播。首章一連10集，將於香港時間逢星期五傍晚6時，在塵世間工作室官方YouTube頻道以週播形式首播全新集數，帶領全球觀眾逐步踏進一個連接香港九龍城、靈力空間與陰間秩序的超自然世界。
At the center of OBE MODE is Poon On-yan, better known as Siu-on, a young man whose soul is unexpectedly separated from his body. His search for the truth behind his identity—and his desperate attempt to save the people he loves—pulls him into a dangerous journey between the living world and a hidden spiritual realm.

Blending Hong Kong folk fantasy, supernatural suspense, dark comedy, action, and emotionally charged brotherhood, the fast-paced series explores mortality, family, desire, trauma, and self-redemption. The narrator is consumed by insomnia, anxiety, overthinking, and traumatic memories. Pressure rises through the bloodstream; color drains into gray; the body turns cold as the mind begins drifting away from reality.

“Disconnect to survive” delivers the song’s defining statement. Logging off is not surrender—it is an attempt to remain alive. The “temporary shutdown” does not represent a desire to vanish forever, but an urgent need to block incoming stimulation before the emotional system collapses. Floating outside the body becomes both a supernatural image and a portrait of someone who feels reduced to a ghost watching life from inside a frame.

In the series, a passageway may carry a soul into another realm. In the song, that same hallway traps a person inside memories that cannot be paused.

CHAN SAI GAAN Reveals the Full OBE MODE Soundtrack Plan
塵世間首度公開《OBE MODE》原聲大碟發行計畫
Alongside the three-chapter release schedule, CHAN SAI GAAN has revealed the soundtrack roadmap for OBE MODE for the first time. Chapter One alone will introduce seven newly created original songs. Following the premiere of the final chapter in 2027, the complete soundtrack album is scheduled for release with 15 original compositions and four remixes—a total of 19 tracks.
CHAN SAI GAAN shared: “As the miniseries begins, more original soundtrack songs will be released one by one. Chapter One alone features seven newly created songs, including ‘dichotomy,’ which is already out, and our upcoming self-titled theme song, ‘obe mode.’ The complete OBE MODE soundtrack album is currently planned for release after the final chapter airs next year. It will include 15 original compositions and four remixes. This is more than a soundtrack designed to accompany the series. Every song represents an emotion, a character, or a clue leading closer to the truth. I hope audiences will not only follow the story on screen, but also use the music to enter a deeper layer of the OBE MODE universe. Please give the album lots of love when it arrives!”
